Żaneta Chłostowska - Szwaczka: The background of a painting is most often the location of the main subject in time and space. The resulting implications are often very important for the narrative of the work. What if this narrative is independent of time and present in every space? Then the background ceases to carry any information or is even misleading. So in my works I try to eliminate the background and create a contextless "spacelessness." In this way, I try to emphasize, to give greater relevance to the subjects raised, which, clearly exposed, give us the opportunity for uninterrupted intellectual exploration, interpretation from many different sides by entering "a kind of nothingness of spacelessness." In such circumstances of "non-existence" we ourselves also cannot retain our materiality and only remain: thought, imagination, logos. Being an indefinite part of this "peculiar nothingness", we can immerse ourselves in it unnoticed, enjoying this property immanent to it at will.
