Yaroslav Kachmar was born in 1955 in Lviv, Ukraine. An outstanding representative of contemporary art.
In 1974 he graduated from the ceramics department of the Lviv School of Applied Arts
(now Lviv State Institute of Decorative and Applied Arts named after Ivan Trush).
Since 1994, he cooperated with the Office of Art Exhibitions in Lublin under the direction of the well-known art critic Andrzej Mroczek where he had his three solo exhibitions and participated in numerous projects in which he exhibited his works.
In 2013, he was awarded the Medal of Honor of the XXIV International Biennial of Contemporary Exlibris in Malbork. Also in the same year, he was awarded the Second Triennial of Ukrainian Abstract Art in the field of printmaking in Chernivtsi, Ukraine.In 2014, he was awarded the Medal of Honor of the XV International Triennial "Small Graphic Forms" in Lodz, Poland.
In 2015, he was awarded the Medal of Honor of the XXV International Biennial of Contemporary Exilibris in Malbork.
