Wojciech Piekarski, Still life with apples and a bottle

Wojciech Piekarski was born in 1980. He belongs to the group of young artists. When he graduated in architecture at the Technical University of Lodz, he debuted his paintings at Promotional Auctions. He achieved great success. When painting nudes and realistic still lifes, Piekarski tries to refer to the painting traditions of Caravaggio. He has excellent skills in good drawing and knowledge of perspective, and this comes in handy when creating works that are close to hyperrealism. Piekarski's paintings are present in Lodz and Warsaw galleries, among others, and recently also in foreign galleries, such as in Hong Kong. In Lodz, he is a true phenomenon. His work "Dream" was sold for nearly 6,000 zlotys during the 8th Promotional Auction. This is the most expensive sold work of an artist of the young generation in Lodz. He probably owes such success to the fact that his work is completely different from other works that can be seen in Lodz galleries.
