Biography
He learned drawing and painting already in his junior high school years. He continued his studies at the Warsaw School of Decorative Arts and Painting under the direction of E. Butrymowicz. In 1941-42 he studied in Moscow. He designed posters and painted war-themed paintings. After returning to Poland in 1950-52 he was a professor at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. In the following years he devoted himself entirely to painting. He traveled extensively to Italy, France and the United States, among other places - landscapes and vedutas from many of the cities he visited were created then.
