Painter; studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow (with Z. Pronaszko and Z. Radnicki, among others), also graduated in Polish Studies at the Jagiellonian University; in 1955 participated in the National Exhibition of Young Visual Arts at the Arsenal; from 1958-1980 was a teacher of painting and drawing at the State High School of Fine Arts in Cracow; initially realized figurative paintings, inspired by observation of nature, from the l. D.'s works are characterized by the expression of form and color, they carry a considerable load of philosophical and religious reflections; important works: the cycle of Objects (1971-73), Man Belongs to the Cosmos (1972-73), Madonna I (1978), Yarn Mill (1992); he also created mural paintings
mural paintings (including polychromies in the church in Zbylitowska Gora); he is a recipient of the Jan Cybis Award (1976).
