Tytus Dzieduszycki-Sas, a member of the Lublin "Castle" group in the 1950s, connected with the French art community from 1959 after his departure to Paris. In the 1960s he joined the Paris-based Phases Group, which also included Tadeusz Brzozowski, Władysław Hasior and Zbigniew Makowski. He was the author of numerous drawings, collages, assemblages, watercolors, tempera paintings and structural paintings - objects made of various materials, including foil, glass, wood and resins. He was also involved in decorating and designing interiors and furniture. At the age of 39, he died tragically in a car accident in Paris, while in the fullness of his creative powers.
