Biography
The art group was established in March 2008. Its members remain anonymous. They operate mainly through their blog. Their actions, based on provocation, are a reaction to the current social-political situation and provoke extreme evaluations. In their paintings, they refer, among other things, to Wilhelm Sasnal, who for them is a symbolic turning point, a certain peak, crossing the barrier to which the formation that directs the art market in Poland has reached. They criticize the Polish and world art market, which is shaped by a group of few people, and only the artist who corresponds to the trends they create and who has the right connections can succeed in it. They believe that it is only thanks to the Internet that democracy is emerging on the Polish art market. In October 2009. Piotr Uklański used his portrait, made by The Krasnals, as part of an installation exhibited at Tate Modern. In November 2009, the group was nominated for the Polityka Passports.
