Biography
Currently lives and works in Warsaw. He specializes in oil painting. Author of an original series of paintings with intriguing titles, inspired by psychological nomenclature, in which representations of animals are subjected to strong deformations. The artist brings to life hybrids of different species. In some, as if by means of an x-ray, he reveals a skeleton, while others hide fragments of images of unspecified characters. The compositions, shown with attention to the formal side, seem to arise from an abstract background, which nevertheless contains some geometrically organized components, such as lines running across the images, intersecting at various angles or converging within the picture. The painter's lush imagination leads to a kind of violence perpetrated on forms taken from nature. According to the artist himself, this attack targets traditional, pleasing art.
