Szczepan SKORUPKA

Painter. Brother of Stanislaw - a linguist. Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (1920-30). Co-founder of the Independents society founded in 1946, as well as co-founder and secretary of the committee of the Zachęta group (1956-69). He traveled extensively, both before the war (Uruguay, Brazil, Sweden) and after the war (France, USA, USSR, Netherlands). He had numerous solo exhibitions at home and abroad (USA, London, West Germany). He also took part in group exhibitions such as: TZSP salons in Warsaw (1933-39), TPSP in Krakow (1937). His works are in private collections in the USA, Great Britain, Holland and Germany.
