"Departure of cranes" watercolor on sheet (100% cotton, weight 300 gr/m2) dimensions 35x50 cm, high grade fade resistant paints (Aquarius and Shmincke). It is an impressionistic rearrangement of a group of birds gathering for departure at dusk. The color scheme is subdued, shades of yellow, orange, red contrasted with blues, Payne's grey, purple. A lot of dynamism is given to the painting by silhouettes of cranes soaring through the air.
Susanna Mukoid, born 1988, trained as a theater director, has been painting in watercolor since 2020. She is the author of illustrations for children's books and animal and religious paintings sold through online galleries.
