Stefan Mrożewski, prominent graphic artist and painter, pupil of W. Skoczylas, in the interwar period working in London, Paris and Amsterdam, among others, and living permanently in the USA since 1950. The work from the post-war, lesser-known period of the artist's work, when painting became Mrożewski's equal mode of expression next to graphic art. California landscape began to play a great role at that time, fascinating him with light and color. On the back of the work, information that the pastel was a wedding gift from the artist's son, Andrew, in 2005. Good condition, framed in deep Viennese passe-partout.
