Stanislaw ŁAZOREK
1938 Aksamanice - 2000 Kazimierz Dolny
Studied in 1958-64 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He received his diploma in 1964 in the studio of Stanislaw Szczepanski. He practiced easel painting - landscapes and figural compositions, printmaking, drawing, also designed scenography. He had many national and international exhibitions in Vienna, Prague, Berlin, Hamburg, Brussels, Oslo, New Zealand, Dusseldorf, New York, among others. In 1970 the artist departed from his previous painting, derived from the "new figuration "and made Kazimierz Dolny almost exclusively the subject of his paintings. He painted in light, pastel tones, giving his works a gentle, lyrical atmosphere. Very often he idealized the views of the town. He was an invalid, so he painted using only his right hand.
