Stanislaw Fijalkowski (November 4, 1922, Zdolbunow - November 4, 2020, Lodz) Studied at the State Higher School of Plastic Arts in Lodz in the studios of Władysław Strzeminski and Stefan Wegner from 1946 to 1951. From 1947 he was a lecturer and then a professor at his alma mater. He was a member of the Warsaw Club of Young Artists and Scientists. He represented Poland at the São Paulo Biennale in 1969 and in Venice in 1972. Stanislaw Fijalkowski's works have been presented at more than 500 national and international exhibitions. They can be found in numerous private and public collections in Poland and abroad, including: Museum of Modern Art in New York, Albertina in Vienna, Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow, Pushkin Museum in Moscow, McGrew-Hill Collection in New York, Tate Gallery in London or Kunstmuseum in Bochum.
