Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He received his diploma in 1939 in the studio of F. S. Kowarski and S. Ostoi-Chrostowski. From 1945, for the next 25 years, he was associated with the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, where he was a professor and rector. He worked in printmaking, painting, ceramic and glass sculpture. He exhibited his works at home and abroad, including in London, Sofia, Prague, Vienna, Berlin, Budapest, Tel-Aviv and Toronto. He was the recipient of many awards and prizes, among others: Art Prize of the City of Wroclaw, Art Prize of the Provincial National Council, received medals of the Society of Friends of Fine Arts and also a medal at the 4th International Biennial of Exlibris in Malbork.
