Roman BREITENWALD

Studied at the State School of Decorative Arts in Poznań with K. Z. Maszkowski and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow with W. Jarocki, T. Axentowicz and J. Mehoffer. In 1936, he settled in Warsaw. He belonged to the Pro Arte group. He painted battle paintings, landscapes, hunting, small-town scenes, sleigh rides. In his paintings the horse was often in the foreground.
