Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk at the Faculty of Painting in the studio of Prof. Krystyna Lada-Studnicka. He obtained his diploma in 1966. He deals exclusively with easel painting. He has participated in many group exhibitions and solo shows. He has won prizes and awards at many painting competitions, including a "Gold Medal" at the "Bielska Jesień" in Bielsko-Biała. Patzer's paintings are a study of nature, of the nature that surrounds us, which is a pretext for seeking our own impressions. This art seems to be created at magical times , with unusual light, the qualities of the sky and gives us a sense of communing with something absolutely unique.
