A master poster artist, the surrealist painter gained recognition with his elaborate, metaphorical paintings of fairy-tale narrative. Original compositional arrangements, bravura imagination, technical prowess and freedom in creating the space of the paintings, in addition to the fantasy-noir stylistics, brought the artist great popularity.
