Rafal Dalek was born in 1973 in Tarnow, Poland. He is a graduate of the Complex of Art Schools in Tarnów. In 1999 he received a diploma from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw. On a daily basis, he lives and works in Wroclaw. He deals with interior and furniture design, as well as painting. He is the author of several exhibitions realized mostly in Wroclaw galleries.
His paintings cover a variety of subjects, including portraits, city skylines, figures of cats and horses, ubiquitous cell phones, changing weather with a focus on rain. We find a rich color palette, where the intermingling of colors and light creates highly expressive arrangements. They are complemented by varied, colorful patches, synchronized with the subject of the painting. His works are in the collections of institutions, private collections, galleries and museums at home and abroad. To date, he has presented his works in solo and group exhibitions, mostly in the country: in Warsaw, Wroclaw, Walbrzych, Krakow and Tarnow.
