Graduated in 1964 from the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, in the studio of Emil Krcha. For many years he practiced easel painting, strongly attached to the tradition of Polish painting, with a special fondness for the person and work of Stanislaw Wyspianski. For many years he painted portraits of well-known Krakow personalities from the artistic, scientific, journalistic or political circles with great success with the public and critics. He often embellished poems by poets from all over Poland, published in the Cracow-based "Życie Literackie", with his drawing impressions; he also wrote poems himself.
