In 2003, Lutyinski realized a large-scale project called Bird Column at Bunkier Sztuki. It was not a finished and closed exhibition, but an evolving process over time, of which the title column became the main element. Embedded in its structure were paintings-objects made by the artist over the past couple of years, the space around it was surrounded by a grid, and dozens of birds took up residence inside the aviary (Ewa Gorządek, Culture.pl).

Piotr Lutyinski (born 1962 Tychy) - painter, sculptor, performer, creator of installations, multimedia shows and experimental music concerts. In 1982 he graduated from the A. Kenar High School of Fine Arts in Zakopane. From 1983 to 1990 he studied at the Faculty of Pedagogy and Plastic Arts of the Silesian University Branch in Cieszyn, receiving his diploma in the graphics studio of Prof. Eugeniusz Delekta. He lives and works in Cracow, cooperating with the Starmach Gallery and MOCAK, and is also a member of the Open Studio there. The artist's artistic explorations revolve around the relationship between nature and abstract art. He creates collage forms and objects, in which he combines traditional painting techniques with elements of organic origin, such as birds' eggs and feathers, dried insects, wax, grain, wood, stones. Among the most characteristic are geometrizing compositions with a leading black and yellow motif. His musical-visual actions often involve live animals, confronted with paintings and placed in exhibition spaces, including birds in "Bird Column" (Bunkier Art Gallery in Cracow, 2003), or fish in "Music for Fish" (Foksal Gallery in Warsaw, 2005). The artist - as a violinist - is the leader of the musical formation Core and the originator of the KR736EJ project - a vintage art installation bus that serves as a "mobile gallery." His works are in the collections of the National Museum, Bunkier Sztuki, MOCAK in Cracow, the Upper Silesian Museum in Bytom, Foksal Gallery in Warsaw and in private collections at home and abroad.
