Olga Petrova (b.1942) is an artist, art historian, Philosophy PHD and a member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1986. She is also a professor at the UKMA University and IPMA. As a painter, her work operates in the cross-sections of expressionism, metaphorism and nonfigurativism. Her paintings are held in the collections of the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture and the Union of Artists of Ukraine, in the Chernivtsy, Chernigiv, and Khmelnytsky art museums, National Museum in Lviv, National Art Museum in Kyiv, Georgian Museum of Arts, Sitracut gallery in Calcutta, The Yad-Va-Shem Museum in Israel, Library of the British Museum (London), Musa Culture centre (Osaka) and in different galleries and private collections in Kyiv, Moscow, Paris, London, Nottingham, Amsterdam, Calcutta, Toronto, Budapest, Osaka and Tokyo.

Sister of a Samurai - in samurai families, warriors never surrendered. If a samurai died, his wife or sister took up arms and fought to victory or to their own death.

Jej metoda twórcza jako malarki to ekspresjonizm, metaforyzm, niefiguratywizm.

Siostra Samurajaja - w rodzinach samurajów wojownicy nigdy się nie poddali. Jeśli samuraj zginął, jego żona lub siostra chwytały za broń i walczyły o zwycięstwo lub własną śmierć.
