Natalia Bażowska (born 1980, Dabrowa Gornicza). Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. Diploma with distinction in the Painting Studio of Prof. Andrzej Tobis, Ph.D. (2012).
She is the winner of, among others: first prize in the Artistic Journey of Hestia competition (2011), first prize in the Young Art Review "Fresh Blood" at Socato Gallery in Wroclaw (2011), nominated for the Art Prize of the University of Arts in Poznan New Image/New Look and winner of the Collectors' Prize in the same competition (2013). She received an honorable mention in the 1st Modessqe International Painting Competition (2013), two nominations for the 11th Geppert Competition "Attention: painting!" in Wroclaw (2013), an honorable mention at the 43rd Bielska Jesień Painting Biennale in Bielsko-Biała (2017), and participated in the 44th edition of this competition, Bielska BWA Gallery, Bielsko-Biała (2019). She has been nominated for the Passports of Polityka (2016).
Bażowska's main fascination is the concept of life itself, and since 1998 all her activities have revolved around this issue. From 1999 to 2005 she studied medicine at the Silesian Medical University. In 2007 she took up doctoral studies at the Department of Psychiatry and painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. For several years, her academic work was intertwined with her art, complementing each other. In 2010 she defended her doctorate related to both fields.
