Monika Slósarczyk, Vistula Horizons

She is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. In 1996, she received her diploma in the painting studio of Prof. J. Szancenbach, with an annex in the book and typography studio of Prof. R. Banaszewski. At the center of the artist's artistic world is the human being. This is the guiding thread connecting the constant manifestations of fascination with human nature and insightful observation of its peculiarities. Endless experiments related to building blocks, go beyond traditional techniques and combine with remarkable painting visions. The artist does not use traditional oil paints, but employs a technique of her own based on construction chemicals (pigments, adhesives, etc.). Characteristic of her style is that she paints on colored canvas with prints. The artist tells stories of everyday life with her paintings. She has been a participant in about 35 group exhibitions in Krakow, Legnica or Piotrkow Trybunalski, among others, and 60 individual exhibitions in Krakow, Szczecin, Lubin, Ustroń, Wisla or Wadowice, among others. In addition, he is the creator of happenings such as "Sticking the sheep" or "Oats Krzywicki", as well as a participant in plein-air painting events held in Poland and abroad.
