Monika Boruta-Sałacińska paints light, feelings and fleeting moments. She reaches to the essence of folk beauty, which is spontaneous for her and stems from her love of simple art. She intertwines impressionism, which adds lightness to her paintings, with realism, which models light and contours. She observes the world, people and nature, and draws inspiration from there.
The artist conducts art classes for children, teenagers and adults at the Sochaczew Cultural Center. Since 1999, she has actively participated in plein-air events and exhibitions. She has to her credit multiple victories in the biennial ,,Sochaczew Laurel, the Prize of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage and the prize of the President of the Republic of Poland for winning the national contest I Love Poland - Treasures of the Nation. Her paintings are in private collections and churches in Poland, Spain (Madrid), Bulgaria, the United States (New Jersey), Switzerland and France (Paris).
