Masakazu Miyanaga is an artist originally from Japan. He received his education at Fukuoka University in 1993 and Tsukuba University in 1995. After moving to Poland, he completed an internship at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow at the Faculty of Graphic Arts and the Faculty of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art. It was his study at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow for the conservation of works of art that allowed the artist to master the old painting techniques and gilding brilliantly. Miyanagi's creative process does not allow for the creation of many works, which is in contrast to contemporary overproduction and the rush for novelty. An intimate exhibition of the artist's works will be on display at the Manggha Museum, with which the artist collaborates on translations and teaches Japanese calligraphy, starting November 10, 2023.
