Mira Smerek-Bielecka
Graduate of Fine Arts at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun. She received her diploma in 1979 and lives and works in Olsztyn. Repeatedly represented the Olsztyn environment at national and international exhibitions, including participation in the Autumn Salon in Paris in 2001. Scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture and Art in 1984 and the Olsztyn City Council. She has the badge of Meritorious Activist of Culture of Warmia and Mazury and the Silver Cross of Merit received in 2009. In 2014, she received the decoration and award of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage -Served for Polish Culture.
She is the author of more than 40 solo exhibitions and dozens of group exhibitions. She has also organized workshops, open-air workshops and art camps at home and abroad. Works in the collections of museums, the Museum of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, the Bureau of Artistic Exhibitions in Olsztyn, the Ministry of Culture and Art in Warsaw, the Royal Theatre in Plymouth, England, the City Hall in Olsztyn, the City Hall of Gelsenkirchen,-Germany, the City Hall of Debno, Gorzow Wlkp. and in the collections of the Vatican.
