Albich was born on June 9, 1925 in Krupině. He studied at the Pedagogical Faculty of Charles University in Prague. From 1959 he was a member of the Promena art group. His works from 1959-1969 show a strong turn towards abstraction. During this period Albich painted mainly geometric, greatly simplified landscapes, female nudes and still lifes.
Landscape was definitely one of the artist's favorite painting subjects. He took it up many times, drawing inspiration from his numerous travels. His paintings include views of Bulgaria, Poland and other Baltic countries.
Albich was associated with the Prague publishing market for many years. As part of his cooperation with Czech publishing houses, he was in charge of the graphic design of publications launched on the market.
Albich's works were presented at several solo exhibitions in art galleries in Prague (1960, 1972, 1976, 1981), as well as in Cuba (1971) and Egypt (1992). The artist's paintings are in the collection of the National Gallery in Prague.
