Michal Gątarek. Born in 1985 in Rymanowo. Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw; diploma in the painting and drawing studio of Prof. Aleksander Dymitrowicz (2010). Scholarship holder of the Erasmus program in Bourges (France, 2008/2009). Winner of the 2nd Prize of the Marshal of the Silesian Voivodeship at the 42nd Painting Biennale Bielska Jesień 2015. Received an honorable mention at the 1st Art Biennale of Young Wroclaw (2011). Participant of the International Art Workshop - Pieńków, organized by the Marek Maria Pieńkowski Foundation (2010). Author of exhibitions presented in Wroclaw: "New Atlantis" (2016) and "Mundophobia" (2011) at Arttrakt Gallery; "Youth from Good Houses" at MMXIII Gallery (2014), and - together with Prof. Zdzislaw Nitka - at PoKuSa Gallery in Wiesbaden (Germany, 2010). Participant in the final exhibitions of the Bielska Jesień Painting Biennale at the BWA Bielska Gallery in Bielsko-Biała (2019, 2017, 2015) and other group exhibitions, including "Jesters and Priests - Three Decades of Expressive Painting in Wrocław" in Berlin (Germany, 2016); participated in the third edition of the "Aviaries" project at the Contemporary Museum in Wrocław (2012) and the "Young Polish Painting - Art from Lower Silesia" exhibition in Dresden (Germany, 2009-2010).
