Maurice Blond alias Maurycy Blumenkranc (Lodz 1899 - Clamart, France 1974) - painter. He was initially educated at a secondary school in Lodz and studied natural sciences at the University of Warsaw. In 1923 he began his artistic education at the School of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He went to Berlin and from there to Paris. He became friends with J. Pougny, M. Larinov, among others. The subjects of his works were still lifes, landscapes and portraits. He worked under the influence of Post-Impressionism and Expressionism.
