Marta Zygmunt - a painter from Sosnowiec, Poland. Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw and the Faculty of Art at the Jan Długosz Academy in Częstochowa. This year's finalist of the VI Painting Triennial in Chorzow and the Second Spring Painting Salon in Antonin. Participant of numerous exhibitions and plein-air painting workshops in Poland and abroad. Her works will be in collections in Switzerland, Germany, U.S.A., among others.
Her main field is oil painting, charcoal and dry pastel drawing and stained glass. She draws her inspiration from the world around her, from her own experiences and experiences. The theme of her works is mainly man, his loss in the modern world, the search for the path of life, body-positivity, lack of acceptance and inner transformations depicted in a metaphysical-symbolic way on canvas.
