About the author: Born in 1951 in Suprasl, he lives and works there. He is a graduate of the High School of Fine Arts in Suprasl and the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Gdansk. He studied at the Faculty of Painting and Sculpture, majoring in painting in the studio of Kazimierz Śramkiewicz. He practices painting and oil pastel. He is the winner of many national and international art competitions, including. II International Biennale of Pastels in Nowy Sącz 2004 (second prize), Triennale "White Salon of Fine Arts" in Bialystok 2004 (main prize) and the All-Poland Biennale of Painting and Unique Textile in Tri-City in 2005 (prize of the Association for Promotion of Coastal Artists "Era-Art").
