Signed and p .d.: M. Lipinski
Mariusz Lipinski, after graduating from the State High School of Fine Arts in Jaroslaw, took up studies at the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts in the faculty of painting. He studied in the studios of Prof. W. Taranczewski, Cz. Rzepinski, A. Stopka and T. Kantor. He received his diploma from Prof. J. Nowosielski. His fascination with the lost Jewish culture, its unusual atmosphere, scenes from everyday life caused an enormous desire to resurrect it on his canvases. He painted the life of small towns where Jews haggle with horses, sell geese and buy fish for the Sabbath. His paintings were gifted to John Paul II and Steven Spielberg.
