Mariusz Lewandowski (1960-2022) - Polish surrealist painter, born in Działdów. He lived and worked in Warmia. In the privacy of his studio he painted paintings, the subject matter of which often goes far beyond the boundaries of the human mind. He poured his visions and feelings onto the canvas, playing with light, space, contrast. The works are full of symbols and thought-provoking details, which each viewer has the opportunity to interpret in his own way - the author, apart from giving a title, has never explained his paintings.
In 2017, the artist collaborated with the metal band Bell Witch - for the cover of their album he created a painting titled. "Essence of Freedom." With this he began a new chapter of his work - since then there have been more than thirty covers with Mariusz Lewandowski's paintings. Among the record publishers were such companies as Sony Music Entertainment, 20 Buck Spin, Transcending Obscurity Records. The artist's work has become more widely recognized, including in the United States, Canada, Australia, Brazil and Germany.
The artist's work has also inspired the creator of the legendary Zero Skateboards brand, Jamie Thomas. In 2021, together they created a limited series of five skateboards, which quickly gained recognition among lovers of the sport.
