Mag Karcz graduated with honors from the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, Faculty of Graphic Arts and Painting (2017). She has been living and working in Mexico for several years. In her practice, she develops a unique language of abstract forms inspired by the relationship between language, nature, and the experience of living across cultures. She creates multi-layered compositions with vivid colors, often emerging from a single symbol resembling a letter. By layering successive elements and densifying structures, she transforms them into organic abstractions—traces of an imagined, indecipherable language. The starting point for her work is emotion, memory, and the observation of nature—understood not as a representational motif but as a system of rhythms, interdependencies, and processes. She works on wood, paper, and canvas, creating paintings and objects that leave room for intuition and individual interpretation.
