Łukasz Patelczyk is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, he received his diploma in 2012 in the studio of Professor Teresa Miszkin and the studio of Professor Witoslaw Czerwonka. In his painting he combines two orders: classical landscape and geometric abstraction. The artist says about his painting: Thetheme of my works is the symbiosis of styles, combining the language of abstraction with classical landscape painting. I try to look for such solutions in which the two languages harmonize and create a coherent work. (Source: interview with Lukasz Patelczyk in Vogue).
Winner of the 2011 Artistic Journey of Hestia competition- special award, scholarship in Valencia, and the 2015 Bielska Jesień Painting Biennale- press award from the editors of Notes Na 6 Tygodni. He is also a finalist in competitions including the 11th Eugeniusz Geppert Competition, Promotions, Fresh Blood, Perfectionists - Modessqe International Painting Competition, International Art Workshops in Pieńków. Winner of the 2020 "Kompas Młodej Sztuki" ranking (ex aequo with Agata Kus). His works are in private collections in Poland and abroad, as well as in state collections, including the National Museum in Gdansk.
