Born in 1964 in Szczytno, Poland. The artist graduated from the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, where he received his diploma in Prof. Rajmund Ziemski's studio in 1993. Krzysztof Kokoryn's paintings are a rare combination of synthesis and expression. Their characters - musicians and circus performers, animals, trees and coffee makers - have a distinctive sculptural weight. Kokoryn tries to encapsulate an entire story in a single gesture, object, character. The subject matter, the succinctness of the form - patches of intense pure color framed by a thick, dark outline - create the seductive style of these paintings.
