Biography
Kinga Popiela received her master's degree from the Faculty of Painting at the University of Arts in Poznań, in the studio of Dr. Dominik Lejman, Prof. UAP and Prof. Andrzej Peplon´ski. As of 2018, she is a student of the Interdepartmental Environmental Doctoral Studies at UAP. In her work, she focuses on the performativity of the painting gesture, the individual memory of the body and its expression in relation to space. She seeks the relationship between the artist's physical body and its environment and the visual language it produces. She is also involved in art education and organizes lectures and workshops on performance painting and the role of the tool in the creative process. She lives and works in Poznan.
