In 1890-1895 he studied at the Warsaw Drawing Class under W. Gerson and J. Kauzik. He spent the years 1895-1898 in Munich, studying at the Academy of Fine Arts under C. Herterich, F. Stuck and A. Ažbe. In 1901-1904 he was an assistant to K. Krzyzanowski at his private school of painting. From 1934 he headed the Section of Animal Painters at the Warsaw Art Society. He traveled extensively; he was in Turkey, Austria, Germany and Italy, among others. He exhibited at TZSP in Warsaw and at the Kulikowski Salon. He painted portraits and landscapes with grazing cattle. His paintings can be seen in the collections of many Polish museums and in Ukraine, Lithuania and the Czech Republic.
