Biography
Julia Woronowicz is one of the most interesting artists of the young generation. She graduated from the Faculty of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and is the winner of the first prize of the "Hestia's Artistic Journey" competition. Woronowicz's art oscillates between fact and alternative reality. She touches on universal but extremely topical subjects, such as the concept of femininity or the definition of Polishness. One of her sources of inspiration is Slavic mythology. Her works have been repeatedly presented at exhibitions, including: "Homework" at Naga Gallery as part of Warsaw Gallery Weekend, "It's getting hot" at Officine Gallery, and "Soup Opera" at MEME Gallery in Athens. She is a member of the "Two Persons" art group. Woronowicz's works this year were purchased for the mBank collection.
