Julia Medynska (1981, Gdansk, Poland) Painter, illustrator and actress. In 1985, as a little girl, she fled with her family to West Berlin. She found an outlet for her emotions in art - art classes taught her to pour her observations onto canvas. After graduating from high school, the artist moved to New York to study acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and The Neighborhood Playhouse. At the theater, she observed movement, poses and gestures, which are reflected in the dynamic frames of the painter's works. She has performed at the OFF-Broadway Manhattan Ensemble Theatre. In 2009, she took up visual arts studies at Columbia University, earning a master's degree. She is the recipient of a scholarship from the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation. (2021).Education:
