Józef GAJZLER (1945-2009).
Józef Gajzler (born February 12, 1945 in Karolinka, died April 22, 2009) was a metallurgical locksmith by profession, but devoted his life to oil painting. He was involved in painting cityscapes and landscapes characteristic of Silesia. His paintings are characterized by warm, juicy colors. He was fond of depicting old urban districts and backyards.
He was affiliated with the Janowska Group from 1971, and his works were exhibited at numerous exhibitions, including the Fourth Science Festival in Warsaw in 2000. He also participated in the International Festival of Naive Art "ARTNAIF" at the Wilson Shaft Gallery in Katowice-Nikiszowiec. Gajzler's works are in many private collections.
