artist-painter, capist, associated with the environment of Poznan, member of groups: Plastyka, Zwornik and Jednoróg;
Born in Podolia in alanded gentry family. Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in the studiosof Stanisław Kamocki and Teodor Axentowicz . He received hisdiploma in 1924. In 1925-1929, he continued his painting studies at the Cracow branch of the Academy of Fine Arts in Paris under Jozef Pankiewicz. Since the 1930s, he worked in Poznań . He painted mainly landscapes andportraits, also nudes, influenced by theFauvists and Expressionists; he painted still lifes (Tin 1974), nudes (Nude with Flowers 1931), portraits (Self-Portrait at the Easel 1932) and landscapes (Landscape with River 1942).
His works were exhibited in Warsaw's "Zachęta" (1922, 1932), the Society of Friends of Fine Arts in Poznan (1924, 1932), the Palace of Art in Krakow (1931), the Art Museum in Lodz (1936), the Institute of Art Propaganda in Warsaw (1938 with Tadeusz Piotr Potworowski), also in Paris at the Salon of Independents and in New York at the 1939 World Exhibition.
