Jolanta Rudzka Habisiak studied at the Wladyslaw Strzeminski State Higher School of Fine Arts in Lodz (today's Wladyslaw Strzeminski Academy of Fine Arts), where she received her diploma in the Studio of Unique Textile in 1985. She is currently a professor (since 2005), Head of the Interior Object, Carpet and Tapestry Studio at her alma mater. She has participated in more than 200 group exhibitions - Polish and international; she has had 40 solo exhibitions at home and abroad. She creates objects and installations, deals with textile art, carpet design, but also activities based on artistic graphics and authoring techniques. She served as the Academy's rector from 2012-2020, and is the recipient of prestigious awards for her exceptional works, among them are: Award of Excellence, 1987, International Tapestry Competition, Kyoto, Japan; 1st Prize of the Minister of Culture and Art - 4th National Exhibition of Polish Tapestry, Łódź; Gold Medal 1992 - 7th International Triennale of Tapestry, Central Textile Museum, Łódź; 1998 Silver Medal and Medal of the Central Textile Museum, Łódź - 9th International Triennale of Tapestry, Łódź.
