Jolanta Kitowska (born 1968).
During her seven-year stay in the US, she graduated with honors from Stratford Career Institute, majoring in Art. She honed her workshop as a member of the Long Island Art League. After returning to Poland, she opened the Rumska Painting Studio and is a founding member of the "Passionate" Artists Association. She is co-author of the "Artists for Education" and "Rumski Plenera Malarska" projects. Numerous exhibitions, collective and individual, as well as participation in plein-air events in Poland and Europe, are an important part of the artist's life.
Dancing experiences were the first inspiration to look for movement in paintings, create portrait series, move in the direction of showing emotions. As if a natural consequence in the creative development was the reversal of the direction of exploration and the transition to calmness and synthesis, purity of color and form. Limiting the color palette, creating with color triads, these are all just stages: "I'm still developing, looking for new forms of expression, my painting is also a mirror of my experiences - the last one was Kenya." The Kenya series is still in the making and probably won't end soon.
