private collection, Poland

A surrealist composition by one of the founding members of the Cracow Group, it catches the eye with the intricate structure of the work and warm accents of color. Looking at the texture of the painting, one can see distinct layers of color, giving the work depth. The offered "Litany to the Stars" was created in the second half of the 1970s. In this decade and the next, the artist was particularly concerned with religious themes. The title of the work alludes to these interests, and at the same time, with its composition - to the painter's recognizable non-representational art.
