Biography
Studied at the University of Silesia in Katowice, Faculty of Pedagogy and Arts, Branch in Cieszyn. Diploma in painting in the studio of Prof. Jerzy Wroński (1989). Jerzy Sojka's works are paintings and objects of abstract, geometric form. They are often inspired by earthly temporality (general ideas, the human body) or the cosmic world. In his opinion, the most important thing in a work is a sophisticated form, resulting from an interesting idea, which is created by perfectly harmonizing components, such as shape, color, proportions, the texture of the planes and the quality of the materials used.
