Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, received his diploma in 1986 in the painting studio of Jerzy Tchórzewski and the poster studio of Maciej Urbaniec. He specializes in easel painting, using traditional painting techniques. Realism intertwined with symbolism provoke thoughts and reflections on the surrounding reality. In the paintings we can find many accurate and apt associations, hidden human desires and experiences, sometimes personal. To read the content contained in the painting, the title itself is most often the key, although some of them have multiple meanings and the viewer can create his own story to them. In the paintings, one often encounters abbreviation and metaphor as in a poster. He also paints paintings that are records of impressions of the moment of the surrounding landscape. He is also an illustrator and portraitist. Jerzy Cichecki is the author of many exhibitions in Poland and abroad, most often in Japan. The artist's works are in many private collections around the world.
