Jaroslaw Lubecki, b. '77, born in Zgierz. Amateur, self-taught artist.
Drawing
With interruptions has accompanied him since forever. His favorite tool is a rapidograph, a thin pen, or ink. At first it was cartoon drawing, but over time began to emerge
surreal worlds, which later became the basis of his painting path. His most recent work, as far as drawing is concerned, is a drawing (50x65cm), drawn over a year, in which the interpenetrating worlds
are as surreal as possible.
In 2018, he participated in a competition - an exhibition organized by the Artist's Workshop and Faber Castell in Lodz, Poland.
Painting
He discovered quite late, but immediately "sparked". He felt that it was in painting, next to drawing, that he wanted to express his world.
The closest to him is abstraction, figurative painting, surrealism or magic realism. Occasionally he will commit something realistic.
He makes no secret that the paintings of Beksinski, Borys Michalik or Dariusz Zawadzki appeal to him the most.
Painting has become a chance for him to see what has always been inside him. Among friends, his painting is described as "not easy," but he finds his amateurs. Several of his paintings are abroad in private collections.
He paints in oil technique, because, as he says - you can always manage to change something....
He is constantly improving his technique and believes that the best is yet to come.
