oil on canvas, 60x40 cm
Born 1976 in Legnica. He began to engage in painting in 1991. He was greatly inspired by the work of Wojciech Siudmak and meeting the artist at his exhibition. Due to Siudmak's artistic influence, Jaśnikowski's work bears strong traces of surrealism, and over time he became absorbed in steampunk aesthetics. Clock dials, airships and flying ships suspended in the air, and locomotives releasing clouds of steam are common themes in his work. He calls himself a Story Painter: a chronicler of a reality divided into millions of islands drifting in space, which is governed by completely different laws than our own. His works have been exhibited in numerous exhibitions - both solo and collective.
