Biography
In 1970 he graduated from the Piotr Potworowski High School of Fine Arts in Poznan. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan and at the Faculty of Architecture of the Warsaw University of Technology. He also studied philosophy at the Academy of Catholic Theology in Warsaw. He invented an eleven-sided geometric solid, which he authoritatively named K-dron. He published his discovery in 2004, in which he managed to combine gold and silver division within a single geometric structure for the first time ever. He specializes in small graphic forms, posters and illustrations for magazines and books. Since 1981 he has lived in New York, where he has collaborated with such magazines as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, TheWashington Post, The Boston Globe, Graphis and Print. He also publishes in "Rzeczpospolita". In 2009, a statue of the K-dron discovered by the artist was unveiled in Kolo, and in 2013 another one was unveiled in Wolsztyn. In 2012, a sculpture of K-dron also stood in the courtyard of the El Gallery in Elblag. Since 2009 he has been an honorary citizen of the city of Kolo. In 2010, at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, he received a doctoral degree. In 2011 he was awarded the "Outstanding Pole" in New York in the category of Culture. In 2014, together with Wojtek Gorczynski and Andrzej Pawlik, he won an international competition in Ottawa for a monument dedicated to the victims of communism. Currently artistic director of The Chopin Society of New York and honorary member of the Polish American Business Club. Founder and president of K-dron Universe, Inc. His works are in the collections of many museums and galleries around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco, the IBM Collection, the Museum of Art in Lodz. Participant in numerous group and solo exhibitions.
